Think Rent Control’s A Bad Idea? VOTE

If you live in the United States, the single most important thing you can do the first Tuesday of November is to vote.

And if you’re a housing provider who lives in Minneapolis or St Paul, it is especially for you to do so today.

Remember, this year, both cities are discussing whether or not to enact rent control (St Paul), or to give the city council permission to draft a rent control proposal and put it on a November ballot sometime in the future.

In addition, all of the city council – the very people who craft housing policies in the city of Minneapolis are themselves up for election this year.

If you’re concerned about your community and the impact rent control would have on your income and retirement savings, vote.
